Which Registry Office for a Marriage in Shropshire

Hi
Can anyone please tell me which Register office i would have
to apply to for a Marriage Certificate.
The marriage took place in 1840 in the District Of Shrewsbury,
In the County of Shropshire.
I would be very grateful for the help.

The records office at Shrewsbury would be a good place to start and the staff there are very helpful.
