Hi Christine
Maybe I shouldn't assume but I also thought they were brother and sister.

There is a marriage for a John Fewtrell to Mary Reynolds in Ditton Prior in 1825.
Possibly Elizabeth (1826) parents ?

That's the 1841 posted with a John Fewtrell and could be brother and sister as 1841 doesn't give relationships.

Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean about the Elizabeth who married John - or where Hey on Wye fits in ?

Bit of a long shot...only two Elizabeth Fewtrell's christenings are listed on the IGI for Ditton Priors. if she was base born Elizabeth born 1818 could be a possibility for her mother.

Hi Niki, L L and seaham lass

Wedding certificate shows only two Hicks as
witness for Elizabeth, and Richard Wellings Father for him.
The Elizabeth who married John was from
Hey on wye and not the Ditton priors area, we need
some one old enough to have a child for Elizabeths
mother
thanks guys

Elizabeth Fewtrell born Ditton Priors 1847/8?? on the
1851 census for Ditton Priors she is with a family called
Hicks or Hicker.
It gives Elizabeth as her mother, but no other info
she married Richard Wellings around 1870s, give or take a year or so. shes on the 1881 census still married to R,W,
But i cannot find out who or from what family she came, or
her mother came.
Thanking you in anticipation, i do knowing what wiz kids get on here.
thanks
