Do you have their marriage certificate ?

It should tell you their ages and their fathers names, then you will know if you can find him on the 1901 census.

Hello Julie
No I do not have a marriage certificate because i am realy not sure if this is the correct Stanley Lewis, the Stanley Lewis I want was 5yrs old on the 1901 census living in Gelligaer, so preume it may be the one marrried in 1925. it is all just guess work for me.he was my grandad's brother and I never knew my grandad so in the dark about the family. The only one of the family I have met once was the sister of Stanley and I remember her saying my brothers were killed in the 1st world war, I know Gordon was one of them, Iv'e found him on CWGC other than that that's about all. I remember meeting an Auntie Annie at my grandmothers just after the war, so presume it may be her married to Stanley Lewis, but then there was also a sister of Stanley & my grandad William, called Annie so who knows. My Gran & Grandad were seperated sometime between 1920 - 1940 so I just do not know the Lewis family.
Regards John

Hi John,
Looks like this search could take some time.
Unless he married and his children are looking for family, you may have to wait for each census to be released to see where he is.

The only way to know if the marriage in 1925 is 'your' Stanley is to buy the certificate.

When buying certificate you can reduce the cost by stipulating who the father was.
Then you only pay part of the fee if it is the wrong one.

Good luck in your search, Julie
