I have posted about Jessie before and had some great help but all my leads have stopped at 1915 when she is living in 230 Homerton St in London.

She was born on 30th December 1875 in 86 Devonshire Street, Mile End town, Middlesex. Her father is Thomas Evans (1835) a cane maker from St Georges middlesex. Her mother Charlotte Newland (1837) from Leyton Essex.

Her parents both die early and she lives in 1881 with widowed mother (62 Warley St) and then in 1891 with sister MAry A Short and then in 1901 with the other married sister Jane Massey in Hackney.

She married Joseph Shuttleworth in 1901 and had a son Joseph in c1904. The husband and son died in 1909 (father of Chronic Bronchitus)

She then married Ebenezer White (1888) on 31st May 1914 at St Pauls Old Ford, London.
She has a son Alfred White on 30th April 1915 (born in 230 Homerton High Street)

I cannot find a trace of her at all after that? I cannot find a death in the name of Jessie Evans/or White or Shuttleworth.

Can anyone help me? What more can I do to find out what happened to her?

Thanks again in advance to anyone who can help. She is my Grandads (Alfred White) Mum (who he did not know he had).

We were also told she had a girl called Jessie - but I cannot find that either?

Any help would be so everso much appreciated.

hi heather, found a death for a jessie L white in chelsea in 1930 also one for a jessie white in aston in 1919 and another jessie white in west ham in 1926 there all about right for the age range, the aston one seems a bit far away from where she hailed from so could probably be discounted but the others could be possibilities

How do you verify that on a death it is the right person? There is nothing on the death certificate is there that can verify the person is the right Jessie White?

Could you give me the West Ham reference?
thanks so much - how did you find this? I got the Aston one come up but thought it was too far away

the reference on bmd is 4a ,211.dont know how youll verify it is the correct jessie but it may well drop into place with some future info futher down the line or end up being proved wrong so at least you can discount it
