The Law changed in 2005 giving Birth Relatives the right to make contact with the Adopted Adult through a regulated Intermediary Service.
The courts and the Registrar General have to give details relating to the Adoption to the Intermediary Service.
Contact your local authority and they will be able to tell you who will provide this service in the area that you live.
I can give you a number if you would like to contact me.
Kind Regards

Tom

Try the Social Services dept that covers Watford.
If they have records on her you will be able to leave her a written message

Good luck

You need to contact the Post Adoption General Records at Smedley Hydro.
Will look up the address and details and send it to you tomorrow.

My niece, born in Watford in 1977 was registered Kelly Vanessa Jones. She would have been a toddler when she was adopted so I had already come to love her very much. I was a young teenager at the time and I was devestated when she went away. My sister, her mother is deceased as is her father, so if she tried to find them and found they had passed away she may not look any further.
I would dearly love to make contact with her but I don't know where to start.
