Sorry its been a while since i was on but been waiting for my mothers birth certificate to arrive i now have my grandmothers full name it is mary ann jones formerly morgan they lived 31 fisher st swansea any help to find any of her relatives would really be great

yes they all stayed in swansea only my mother came to live in middlesbrough the morgan side of the family were mostly in redcar after my mother died lost all contact with the family in wales what was left of them only few contacts in redcar but most of the ones that would know have also passed away now

I also think that there must have been more than your 2 Jones/Morgan familys as some of the quarters have 2 & 3 births bit the GRO numbers are not close enough for there to have been twins !

Did your mothers family stay in Swansea, as these were the only births registered there ?

You did say 2 brothers married 2 sisters. The births are possibly the children of the other couple

None of these above are siblings of my mother her brothers and sisters were called jackie patricia winifred and ernest

If you buy this certificate it should give you the full names of both her parents.
Then we can find the correct marriage.
The marriage certificate should give you their fathers names

to buy certificates go to
www.gro.gov.uk

They will ask if you have the GRO number tick yes !
That just means do you have the Vol. & Page numbers which are posted here.

I think i have got her name now cissie was the name people used call her could have been nickname her first name was mary there first child was my mother she was born november 17 1923

If you have the birth cert of one of the children it may give Cissies full name.

Put the names up and someone will search for the ref no so you can send for a birth cert

PaulaW thank you its possible that it could be mary it rings a bell as my middle name is mary so could be named after her the name cissie was what people used to call her could just be a nickname i couldnt ask anyone in family as most of them are now deceased thank you once again for finding her name patricia

trying to find anything about my grandparents they lived in swansea grandfathers name was ernest jones grandmothers name i think was cissie morgan they had 5 children i think they married in 1923 all i know about them is two brothers married two sisters
