Find Ancestors

Quiery!
Ive found my maternal grandparents names, Gladys Power and Arthur Brooks for my (batty and not reliable, love her lots) mother.(Born in 1943)
But, i have no idea as to wedding date, and my sister tells me that she thinks gran may have married more than once.
so.... do i presume Power is maiden name.... or possible first married name?
all i know for certain is that she died when i was about 18months old, so about 1967/8
suggestions as to where to go now? (i am new but willing to learn!)

Yes I am back on track and in short sorry there is no quick way, I have had a look for marriages for him but there are a few and no way to narrow them down at the moment, hopefully the death cert will help.

apparently her mother ran off with some rich guy,then when she fell
pregnant ,he dumped her,would explain Francis living with grandparents,also

i am connected to them by marriage my wife shirley is philip l rogers daughter .
you see philip only knew his mum name and ashe was put into a childerns home and as his 81 this year and i had nothing to do one night i started looking .then i found that his mum was matilda m leeds how married frederick rogers in 1922 i posted a question on the board found out about frederick rogers how was born in 1922 and how is frederick rogers how died in 2005 in daventry.so a quick round up
matilda m leeds born 1896 faversham she married
fredrick rogres in 1922 paddington which maid her matida m rogers how i think is matilda m rogers of hampstead. i have sent away for a cert but hoped there was a way to know before it comes as we are in australia does these make more sense i hope

we need to know who he married and the death cert should help or may even have one of his children registering his death

matilda m rogers died mar Q 1955 hampstead 5c 1048, i know the one who married in paddington sept Q 1922 1a 226 how do i find out if they are the same? O she was born in the jun Q 1896 2a 892 in faversham???
also the frederick rogers i was looking for i found he died in 2005 the reg no 27B ent cod 020 in daventry . how do i go trying to find out was he married to and when and did they have children can you help or point me in the right direction please
