dopey aren't I - I see you're from Melbourne - they did a big concert there - I have a photograph of him standing outside a very large concert hall!!

I do hope you are successful in your search Eric - hang in there, I know someone will come up with something - there's a lot of clever people on here.

Where are you in Oz? I have first cousins out there - one in Adelaide and two in Sydney. My lovely husband was a member of a famous Welsh Choir and did two tours of Australia - coast to coast and had a whale of a time

Hi Ann and G'day back!!
Do you ever sleep??

Still learning all the protocols - seemed logical to have them on both to cover all bases.

This is an interesting part of my search. This "family" were my grandmothers foster parents and we have a collection of photo's that potentially relate to the Young/Cant family. George and his wife Helen would be the closest descendants I can locate so far.

Hi there Eric - G'day!! I see you also have a posting on Surname Information - not a good idea to have two postings - it could well cause confusion. May I suggest you delete one of them - people do look on all boards and I'm sure you will get some help on this one. I'm not much good at finding anything after the 1881 census but others are

I seem to have hit a brick wall with finding details of births/deaths related to Helen Fortune Simpson (nee Berry).

Helen was born 28.09.1891, South Leith. She married George Simpson 01.04.1910 in Burntisland, Fife.

Birth record for George shows name as George Cant b1883 in Burntisland (to Cecilia Cant). George passed away in Kirkcaldy C1960. Stat death certificate verified parent details.

I cannot find any death records for Helen (in Scottish records), nor can I locate any children/ births for Helen and George (if they had any at all).

Any help that someone may be able to offer would be most welcomed.
