CAN'T FIND BUCKINGHAMSHIRE MARRIAGE

I can't find a marriage for a Jack Hill (could be John) and Kate Hillsley (or Hilsley or Ilsley etc.) in Buckinghamshire area. They had my mother Pamela Margaret Hill, born October 1934 in Frieth, Buckinghamshire. I don't know of any Bucks BMD pages I can search on or for any registrar certificates.
This is extremely frustrating as its the only line I can't trace back to 1901. I had heard that my grandmother, Kate Hill had been married before my Grandfather Jack Hill. I don't have their birth dates so it's a guess there too. Can anyone help? I've searched on here but no-one has them in their tree, I've searched FreeBMD and Ancestry to no avail. Julie.

FreeBMD is unlikely to cover that period yet.

Did your mother have any older siblings?

On your mother's birth cert it should show her mother's names - Hill, formerly (or late) ______ , nee ______ if she'd had a previous marriage. What info does the cert give?

Unfortunately not, she was an only child, but she had step-brothers of her mother's previous marriage. I don't have a certificate for her yet, Ancestry doesn't pick anything up. Is there a BucksBMD yet?

You may need to search the full listings for any of the possible births ...

Not heard of a Bucks BMD but there is a Buckinghamshire FHS online I think. That might be worth trying to track down as one of their members may have info.

Amazing. Well apparently her brothers were called Marshall. So I'm looking for two marriages now - Kate Illsey to a Mr. Marshall and my grandfather Jack Hill. Can anyone help?

I don't think it is as the brothers were called Albert and Robert marshall. But I can't find their births either. They would have been born roughly in the 1920s
