I am trying to find some information on John Hall born 1850 at Swinhoe, Northumberland, but was a Police Officer in Durham from about 1880 onwards. He seemed to be in the West Rainton, Findon Hill, Langley Moor, Dragonville region the most. In 1881 He married Elizabeth Ann Reay and their children were Gabriel, Robert, Elizabeth Ann, Margaret, John Edward, Thomas, Mary, Emily, Edith, Ellen, and Florence. About 1906 Gabriel married Harriett Baker Walton.
Unfortunately that is the sole knowledge I have, and would like to be able to add more to this line.
By the way, John Hall was my gr grandfathers brother, hence the interest.

Have you found him on all the censuses?


Do you have his parents names?


what exactly do you want in the way of more information?

To all who have replied to my request for information on John Hall in Durham, yes, I have all that information, what I am trying to find is when he and Elizabeth died, who the other children married , where and when.
