Looking for son of Allan Jackson

My Grandfather Allan Jackson was in the Merchant Navy and for a while was travelling to and from Larne in Northern Ireland. He married my Grandmother in 1925 in Leeds but prior to this it is said he married someone from Larne and had a son. His wife died either during the birth or soon after and the child was raised by her family. Where should I look to try and find information? |

Hi Nerine and thank you for your help. Grandad was born in Wallingfen, East Riding, Yorkshire. 1898. Sorry I should have put that in originally. |
