Member Since: March 2008 Posts: 37 Send Message	Have found an entry for Annie Jane in 1881 census visiting Preston family at Rocester. She is listed as unmarried & born in Alton, Staffordshire. Can anyone find any earlier or later entries for her please? Denstone or Rocester are other possible birthplaces. Michele

Member Since: March 2008 Posts: 37 Send Message	Thanks all. A bit confusing with the different birthplaces but quite possibly the same person. She may have married Thomas Robert Chadwick at Ashbourne in 1892. If so 1901 entry would be under that name.

	Denstone is a small rural village situated between the market towns of Uttoxeter in East Staffordshire and Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Under the present Local Government Structure it forms part of the Churnet Ward with the neighbouring village of Rocester. The two villages lie within 2km of one another, but are distinctly separated by the River Churnet and the B5030, the main road that connects Uttoxeter and Ashbourne.
