If you buy the marriage certificate
( I have already sent the reference numbers ) this will give his occupation & your grandfather's name/occupation.

With the father's ( your grandfather) name you may then find the name of your grandmother.

problem is Davies is a popular surname so it hard to pinpoint the correct birth without other data.

As a next of kin you can apply to:
Army Personnel Centre
Historical Disclosures
Mail Point 400
Kentigem House
65 Brown Street
Glasgow G2 8EX
phone 0845 600 9663
You will have to prove relationship, pay £30 and be prepared to wait a few months. Such records will describe his appearence, next of kin, where he lived and medical records together with his pension details.

Do you know when he died? Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate for Frank and Constance?
