I am trying to find out about my Great Grandfather Walter Cooper. He was a sailor, married my great grandmother Sophia Jaggers 24 October 1875 at St Saviour Surrey, Trinity Church, Parish St Mary Newington, County of Surry. Walter's father's name is John Benjamin Cooper but that is all I know of him. Sophia lived in many houses in Newington with the children William, Walter Jaggers & Lizzie with Walter absent. I assume he was away on a ship at the time of the Census. Any information about any of these people would be greatly appreciated. |
