You're welcome.
You're welcome.

;)

I wouldn't say "mistake" (unless someone had been making the claim). It was something very worth investigating.

Really quite an amazing stroke of luck that both were still living by the 1851 census and reported their places of birth apparently accurately!

Aha! Unless *these* are your Joneses in 1851, in Broseley:

Richard Jones 70 - born Broseley
Harman Jones 66 (it says Hannah of course) - born Munslow
George Jones 30
Hellen Jones 22
John Jones 5

But I suspect it's more likely that these ones are the Richard Jones and Hannah Humphrey who married in Broseley.

If you do the search for Andrew's birth

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/igi/search_igi.asp

and then click on the batch number and search for children of Richard Jones and Hannah, there are 5 relevant results (2 children died in infancy most likely).

None of the entries gives a mother's surname, though.

I don't know how one could determine whether the two Richard+Hannah couples are the same ones!

A stroke of amazing luck though - they were both still living in 1851

Richard Jones 76
Hannah Jones 78
Benjamin Jones 24
Edward Jones 21
Eliza Jones 12
Blanche Jones 6

Both show as born in Condover. Of course, that isn't necessarily reliable.

The two places are what, 10 miles apart?

Jpnes? You can edit your post. If anyone were to search the boards for

Jones Condover

for instance, they wouldn't find your post. Well, they would now. ;)

You have the children's births from the IGI?

ANDREW JONES P
