Trying to find any info on John Hill born c1803 in the parish of St. Philip & St. Jacob Bristol (Gloucestershire) Can find him in census in 1851 with children Josiah, William & Mary. There is another son George who was born c1848 who is not mentioned neither is his mother (unknown) John appears again in census 1861 with son George also named as a clockmaker, again no mention of wife or mother. It is certain that George became an Engine driver for G.W.R. and married Caroline Pearce & lived in Redwick Glos. I am unable to find anything about John (my gr.gr. Grandfather) I would like to trace his wife/ wives married in Bristol?? date?? Can anyone out there help me? |
