Maybe he added the Norman later?
The Harry Norman I found in Grimsby in 1911 I am sure is him, and his place of birth is given as Salford, but we always knew him to have been from Sheffield, so he must have been living there somewhere between 1883 and 1905.it's all a bit frustrating really!
I did think this probably was him but if he is still doing something with the cotton mill in 1901 maybe not, because he was definitely working on the railways by 1905 and probably for sometime before this.
Thanks for your help anyway!

Is that him, though, Suzanna? There's no second name and this one was still with his parents in 1901. I couldn't make out his occupation but it seemed to be something to do with the cotton mill.

I'm searching for information about a Harry Norman Jackson born c.1883 in Salford, Lancashire. By 1905 he was living in Grimsby and I have managed to find him in 1911 census here.
He worked on the railways and also had some connection with Sheffield.
Any info would be great!
