The above was my uncle, my father's older brother. His siblings were Ernest, Leslie, Sidney & Minnie (aka Kay). He emigrated to Australia sometime in the 1930's, believed to have died there in 1980. In 1911 census was living with his dad at his grandparents home at 76 Jacob Street, Liverpool.
Always been referred to as "Arthur" probably to separately identify from his father but I believe his first name was actually William.
He visited the UK toget a copy of his birth certificate in the 1930's and we think he ought with Australian forces in WW2.
I'm trying to find whether he left any descendants in Oz.

Lewella,
I realise I gave you William's grandparents names-the correct ones are William and Marion (nee Weir).

Also, one of my brothers thinks he might actually have been born in 1907.
He also thinks he lived in Adelaide and was twice married.

If there's any other information you can provide I'd be grateful.
