Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 5,751 Send Message	Start by looking for his marriage........... When you find the reg'n, buy the cert. It will tell you his age, and his father's name and occupation, and may make your task a little easier

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 8 Send Message	I am trying to find George Jones approx 1893. I do not know the name of his mother although I think his father was George James Jones. His children were Alice, Doris, Hilda, James and George. I am not sure where he was born but he lived in Smethwick in his 20s. His brothers were Sam,James and he had 2 sisters, Amy and Lil. Does anyone have any tips on searching for Jones without a birthplace...I think he was born in or around Wales. Thank you anyone at all! Sue
