There are over 1000 WW1 deaths for W Jones. None are commemorated at Brookwood on CWGC site. Post-war deaths of WW wounds are commemorated but I forget what the cut-off date for this is - maybe 1920-22ish. |

My mother tells me that her grandfather Walter Jones died in the war 1918. She also tells me that he is buried at Brookwood in Surrey. Her mother told her that his coffin was covered with the Union Jack at the time of his burial. He was born around 1874 and was married to a Florence(nee. Stubbles). If anyone can find out more info for me I would be yery graetful. |
