I am trying to find details for a child born illegitimate on 23rd May 1881, name and sex unknown. The mother was Eliza Walker, singlewoman, gave her address in August 1881 as 30 Walter Street, Salford. This is all the info I have from a Bastardy Order issued in Salford on 5th August 1881. Eliza Walker is not listed in Walter Street on census taken in April 1881.I do have details on the father, who came from Frodsham. It is possible that Eliza and the baby emigrated after receiving a lump sum from the father.Kind regards |
