Trying to find any details of grandfather's family. I have a
civil birth record for Thomas Frederick Moore b 10.06.1883 in Newtonstewart Co Tyrone. Father Samuel Moore (occ school teacher), mother Mary Bailey, sponsor 1 Jane. On 1911 census return in West Ham with widowed mother Mary(b. Montreal Canada), sisters Margaret Bailey Moore b 1878 and Annie b 1891.
Any other details of parents or records of other siblings would help. I have no idea when or where great grandfather Samuel died or why Mary was Canadian.
Thanks Sandra

Sandra: Some people have ancestors who served in the military and were stationed in Canada. I've noticed at least three times that the families were with the men who served.

Also, I've noticed on GR that some people have ancestors who lived in Canada and America and then returned back home to England.

Thanks for your help so far. hadn't thought about serviceman angle.
Does anyone know a way to search Irish records before having to pay out for full certificates on little information?
