Trying to find any information on the elusive Abraham Brown born 16/10/1791 at Thatcham Berkshire.If it is the correct Abraham he was recorderd as being at Chievley Berks in the 1841 census. He had a son son James born 1812 at Shaw Cum Donnington. Abraham wife unknown

There is a James Brown born in Thatcham Berkshire to a Abraham Brown and Elizabeth on 23 FEB 1812.
Are you sure it was at Shaw Cum Donnington?

On one document I,ve got Shaw Cum Donnington on another it says Thatcham Greenham

Thanks for the help But ABRAHAM BROWN was born 1791 but his marriage date could not be
Marriages:
Spouse: HANNAH BARFORD Family
Marriage: 21 NOV 1793 Chieveley, Berkshire, England

There appears to be more than one Abraham BROWN or the same on marrying twice !

From the Berkshire Marriage Index

These two are in the 1851 census age 91 and 80 respectively (at Chieveley)

14 February 1818 at Newbury by Licence
Abraham BROWN of Chieveley
Mary Ann GOSLING of this parish

19 August 1818 at Brightwalton
Abraham BROWN of Farnborough
Mary PUMMILL of this parish

14 May 1826 at Lambourne
Abraham BROWN
Susannah GORDON
both of this parish

If it is the Cheiveley family they are in the 1841
James - 50
Mary -50
Ann -20
Mary -15
Ellen -15

Do you have James in the 1851 ?

Where have you found his date of birth ?

Hi Elizabeth

In 1851 James son of Abraham was married to Jane Woodrow,and living at Smiths Cottage Thatcham Berks,His occupation was an agricultral labourer.
