effie is normally the pet name for ethel,my ohs gran was effie and her name was ethel

Trying to find John, known as Jack, who was born in Dalston, London, probably Sigdon Road, at end of 1901 or beginning of 1902.
Believe he married Effie, and last known of in Scotland where my grandparents met up with them whilst on their honeymoon in 1932 !

He had 3 siblings - Julia, Syd and Eva, and a half-sister called Winifred Willis.

Any ideas as to what what Effie could be short for (Euphemia ??) would also be appreciated.
