unfortunately ann its dates I'm lacking as the Gordon Cook I am looking for was my birth father. He met my mother in late 1950s. I was born in 1959 and adopted in 1960. So I presume he was born in 1930s.

hello again - you are one of a growing number of people on here looking for their parents - which is so sad.

However, there seems to be lots of ways of going about this from what Ilve been reading - I think we should have a permanent thread on how to find to parents

Firstly, what about Social Services in the area where you were put up for adoption? Are they able to assist you?

I'm still looking for Gordon Cook to no avail but I was told that he had a sister called Anne. So if anyone knows of an Anne Cook born in 30s that might be a connection.
