I'm looking for the parents of George Albert Turner. He was born in 1887 in Stone. He married Lily May Smith in 1905 at Wolstanton and they had possibly 4 children Albert, Arthur, George (+1).

Can anybody shed any light???

there a few george turners born around that area that year on 1891/1901 census so the best thing to do is buy his birth cert to make sure you have the right family, unless you have his marriage cert for rathers name and occupation of course

Births Mar 1887 (>99%)

Well I was under the impression that he was from Stone according to the BMD registry, which did somewhat throw me off track, however, it would fit in a little better if he was from Stoke!

Having had the wrong person before, I do know that his parents were not Joseph Turner and Eliza Slack. So it could be a possibility that his parents were Joseph and Sarah.

After speaking to my family, I do know that George's children were def Albert, Arthur, George and one other. However, it was a boy.

Many thanks, Nicola

I've been told that the +1 is a boy - however, according to my auntie she says that she does not even remember the male siblings of my grandad so it's a possibility.

Thanks

Hi Emma,

Would you be able to show me your tree??

I'm not sure if my family is actually from Stone now or not. I'm just so confused and I'm clutching at straws because I don't have the cert's yet!

Thanks

Nicola

No only his fathers name and occupation

The birth cert would give you both parents
