Could this be our Ellen? I notice there is already a grand daughter and no married children.

There are a handful of Hawkers linked with Gravesend but no Ellen and no connection to Jones

You thought Elle's maiden name was Hawker. Could you explain what led you to that conclusion. I have not come up with children born Gravesend that fit in this scenario. Do you have a vague idea of order of birth. Grandfather was 1910. aAre we looking earlier or later for the other children.

i have his birth certificate but it only has his mothers name (ellen) on it.in the father bit it is empty. not too sure where to go now! could you give me any other tips

hi all,im tying to find any info on my fathers side to help build my family tree.
my father was james savage jones 1935-2005 born in stepney tower hamlets. my grandfather was george henry jones born 3rd february 1910 in gravesend kent. his father was either george methias or george henry jones married to ellen jones(no DOBs for either) whose maiden name was possibly hawker. .they lived at ether 10 trafalgar rd or 27 west st in gravesend. apparently my grandfather was 1 of maybe 16 children! some of them are named joseph or joby,sarah or sally,julie,henry,nell,lennie or leonard,naomi and charles who was in the royal marines as a bandsman. if anyone has any of these jones in their tree or could help me in my quest of trying to go further back than george methias and co please drop me a line
