Find Ancestors

Hello,

Could someone be kind enough to help me find the maiden names of two people?

John Edwards was born abt. 1860 in Cattershall, Godalming, Surrey, England and sometime in the 1880's he married Caroline who was born abt. 1863 in Chichester, Sussex, England - they had 6 children, the youngest of which appears to be Lily (born c1886) The children were all born in Godalming, Surrey, England.

I'd love to find Caroline's maiden name so I can trace her side.

John's father, James Edwards, was born c1823 in Shalford, Surrey, England and sometime in the 1840's he married Martha (born c1823 in Godalming, Surrey, England). They had 6 children, all born in Surrey, the youngest appears to be George, born c1845.

As above, I'd really like to know Martha's maiden name.

The 1851 census has a James Edwards born 1822, Shalford. Says he's married but not with wife, he's with widowed mother Sarah and brother John in Shalford.

Update: No, I guess it's not him, he's with wife Martha and children in 1851.

I'd have got back to you all sooner, but my PC crashed, and I've just got it working!!

Minnie: the first born child of John and Caroline is Lily Edwards born about 1886 in Godalming, Surrey, England

... just to be cheeky, can someone help me find James' birth? On one census it reads 1822 and on another it's 1823 (??) either way he was born apparently in Shalford, Surrey.
