Trying to find information on the parents of John Williams born 1799 in Lanblethian Glamorgan. Father's name was Thomas Williams and mother Eleanor, I can't find any other information on them, if anyone can help me I will be very grateful as I would love to trace my family back further.

that's the only record coming up and that is not from a authorized transcription of the parish registers

IGI ref C025182 is for Llanblethian and there are no John Williams with father Thomas and mother Eleanor

Thanks, I have this info. on John but I am trying to trace back further. The info. on Llanblethian is interesting as there is a possible link with Thomas father may have been in the ministery. Do you know where I would find John's birth registered ?

Births were not registered until 1837 and even then it was not compulsory. You have to go to parish records and hope that they were baptised. We will only find them online if they have been transcribed.

I know you are trying to go back further but nothing is coming up, the best
one I can find is this one but not in Glamorgan.

Thanks Victoria. I will check that one out as the dates seem right and I don't know where Thomas and E leanor came from they could have moved to Llanblethian after marriage.
Thanks again for all your help.
