Thomas Redhead Thompson married Eleanor Lynn in Houghton Le Spring in 1814 and fathered among others my ancestor William Thompson in 1815. Thomas has listed his birth place variously as Northumberland Bambroshire and Durham Bambroshire on census. I am trying to find his father but it would help if I knew where Bambroshire was. I can find only 2 ref on google and both are in old border ballards!! Any ideas you northern folk?
