Hi i am trying to find out information regarding Elizabeth Wright she died in January 1955 aged 92 b.1862 widow of Charles Wright I have no idea how old he was , but do know that he died before 1941. although I have death cert for Elizabeth doesn't give maiden name can anyone help please thanks

There was one adopted child born in 1919, have ordered the adoption cert but that will only tell me the year and the court . elizabeth was 57 when he was born did think she might be grandparent but clutching a bit at straws

what area are we talking about

Hi it was her adopted son Leslie Charles Wright , she died in Bournemouth

Do you know Leslie Charles exact date of birth???

If there is a family connection we maybe able to pin his birth registration down and see a mothers maiden name.

Hi Lynne,

this may have to wait until you've received the paperwork on Leslie... my own feelings are that Lesley's mother may have had him out of wedlock, which at that time would have bought shame on the family... if so the surname would be the same as his mothers maiden name... if you check out FREEBMD and start with 1919 dec and end the same dates there are afew with the same maiden and surname... but it's a needle in a haystack at the mo.

Hi Dee, I think it really is looking for a needle in a haystack. will have to see which court the adoption took place shame there was no maiden name on her death certificate and there are loads of Elizabeth Wright's too. Sadly the information of the adopted persons previous names die with them. will let you know any info

Update on my search for Elizabeth and Charles Wright , I have received copy of adoption for Leslie Charles Wright he was adopted in June 1930 at the County Court of Poole and Bournemouth . So Elizabeth was 68 and Charles was deceased, they lived in Branksome
