Trying to find details of marriage and other info on Mary Anne Clarke who gave birth to a William Ware, father John Shute in Newington London around 1824

Hi Ann,

The information we have came from his (John Shutes) convict record from when he arrived in Australia in 1842. It states he was born John Shute to Mary Ann Clarke but took his Mother's maiden name of Ware.

SO his mother was born Mary Ann Ware but became Mary Ann CLark at some point. WE don't know if he was born before or after she became Clarke.

In Australia he gave various dates for his birth ranging from 1820 - 1824

We believe he was probably born illegitemate.
