thanks everyone......in reply to one, there were loads of Wrights and Blakes mainly from the St Elizabeth area. I remember who do you think you are with Colin Jackson when he went to Jamiaca. They are so laid back its difficult combined with the fact that they all went by nick names its difficult to trace.

Can i just add something too

My OH's parents are Jamaican and when talking to his Mum about her family she told me that she never knew the 1st names of her G/Parents as out of repect they were called Mama or Papa then the surname

So going back she could give me loads of surnames but no 1st names

Hope that makes sense
