I'm trying to find the maiden name of sarah ? who married PRITCHARD if anyone can help? All I know is that they had a son Charles pritchard orn c1856 In Iron Acton Glos. He married Elizabeth? 1901 census. I would like some maiden names if possible please? also the name of sarahs hubby?

This will give you Sarah's maiden name because she married James before 1837.

The 1861 census suggest that Sarah's maiden name was Wiltshire, but this may not be true.

I also wonder whether she was his first wife ....... I can find no trace of a marriage between a James Pritchard and a Sarah ???? on the International Genealogical Index on www.familysearch.org, nor on the Parish Records on ancestry


I think you HAVE to buy the birth certificate of at least one of the children to confirm the names.



Incidentally, you should be able to find the maiden name of Elizabeth who married Charles before 1901 by going to www.freebmd.org.uk ..... it's a free site!
