looking for more information on the parents of Thomas Robinson who was baptised 3 Jan 1813 Charlton Kings Gloucester - the IGI has his parents as William Robinson and nancy but I cannot find a marriage between them, can anybody help me to find their marriage, thanks

Have you looked after the birth of Thomas for their marriage? I found some of my ancestors married two years after the birth of their younger child - also it could be possible they did not marry.

Nancy is often found used for Ann / Hannah

William and Nancy seem to have their first child baptised in1806 (IGI)

I have the Gloucestershire Marriage Index 1800-1837
There is this marriage12 June 1805 at Bishops Cleeve
William ROBINSON of Winchcombe
Ann NIND
By Licence
(IGI has HIND but there are a lot of NINDs in Gloucestershire !)

Thanks for your help - I did not know that Nancy was a pet name for Ann - it definately gives me something to go on now!
