hello i got a copy of arthur thomas roberts wedding certificate today for when he married eva crossfield i hope you can help me find this person now as it looks like we where definatly looking in the wrong direction ,twenty fifth october 1947 aged 28 at staincross reg office he married eva crossfield rank royal arlillery (860291) cant read the rest in that bit then it says residence at time of marriage 15 havelock street darfield his fathers name is william christmas(seriusly thats what it looks like)roberts (deceased) and he was a brick layer, so can anyone help me please

also even though i think ive got the right one would anyone like to find out if this person could be my arthur thomas roberts born 01 oct 1919 on the records there was another arthur thomas roberts the same time registared mothers maiden name wiggins from stepney which is also in london area so would anyone like to take up the challenge to see if you could find out the names of the parents when married and just to see what other children they had cus if they had 8 then i might be better off looking into them aswell

also how do i check if any off these has a family tree i can check up cus all these brothers and sisters would have children nd grandchildren

thanks you guys you are both really good i justed looked for deaths in 1992 for arthur thomas roberts and it said they had no results this is what puts me off cus it never works when i do it good job ive got you two to help me i think if i got arthur thomas roberts marrige certificate to eva crossfield in dec 1947 that should hopefully prove we got the right family link but so far it seems spot on wth what you found out

you could get the death cert and maybe the informant may help. Could be another spouse or one of the children but you would need to delve further once you have the cert. Female death certs are better informed cos they say wife or widow of but males dont give that info

thanks you june and shirley you guys are so good arthur roberts is popular but the thomas makes him stand out so shirley it probly is him him so do you know what i can do from here to try and comfirm this is defo marys father and by the sounds of what junes looked u for me it confirms the 8 children ,i dont know how you guys do it thank you and how do i find out if this arthur thomas robert ever married again and had any more children to anyone else i know you guys are good so im sure you would like to help he never divorced eva crossfield as far as i know she has alziemas you see so she forgets past events but i will definatly look up these other people to see if anyare still alive and if mary has cousins out there thanks again

thanks shirley for trying to help she beleives its the 1st october 1919 but when i checked the deaths for 1983 i could not findand arthur thomas roberts in the births for octobr 1919 i found 3 arthur thomas roberts she told me the one from wandsworth sunded very familiar and the mothersmaiden name was pask so i traced her name cissie pask to the wedding records who married an albert roberts in 1913 but cant find his or hers birth records or records to say there was anymore children from these people and mary my friend says for sure there was 7 or 8 more children so i definatly think ive got the wrong person and that makes me stuck

does your friend have her dads exact date of birth , Theres two Oct 1919 births coming up in the deaths records after 1983 I,m afraid

can anyone help me help my friend find her dad ive tried a search and im getting nowhere fast ,im looking for an arthur thomas roberts born i beleive in october 1919 in london area he was one of 7 or 8 children and they where brought up in a convent for some reason or another, he joined the army then married eva crossfield in dec 1947 at staincross reg office then got arrested 2 days later for absconding from the army and was sentenced to 4years when he came out he had three children with eva ,there names are mary, john and stewart the last time mary (who im doing the search for) heard from her father was in 1976 when he wrote her a letter from pentonville prison where he was in and out of all his life and this is all i know,if you can help and you know this person or even related to him then can you contact me with what you know or even just to tell me where im going wrong thank you
