Alexander or Alexandrina.

I have Alexandrina Moore on the 1901 scottish census living with parents Duncan and Mary nee Crawford and siblings Mary b.1892, Duncan b. 1895 and Mabel b. 1899, Alexandrina is age 3 so d.o.b. c 1898, my problem is I can't find a birth for her , the other problem is on her Mother's death certificate it shows A.C . Moore ( son ) as the informant , I can't find any other children born to Duncan and Mary after 1901, so I am wondering if Alexandrina is really Alexander, any ideas would be wonderful as I have spent most of the day on Scotland People and am none the wiser.

Crikey Jeanette, that was quick , I have been looking all day , obviousley I was doing something wrong, Yes this looks like the one, so maybe the " son " on her mothers death cert. was just a mistake.

I entered only Alex in the first name - the record has AlexandErina, probably how it didn;t come up when you searched.

Perhaps there was a son AC that you haven't found yet?

Hi Jeanette,
Of course I never thought of doing it that way, you maybe right about the son , but the only name I can think of that runs in the family is Alexander, but I don't know if you would call your children Alexandrina and Alexander
