I don't know if you have tried searching for information yourself. You may like to google FreeBMD and look at what that has to offer. Or LDS Family History or Rootsweb. All these places offer free family history searching. Also check out the "search tree" matches in GR and follow up any matches you may find.

These sites will get you started and there are many more pay to view sites as well.

OK We've gone back and found some slight possibilities. Now let's go forward.

Your question was about your grandpa. Do you know your grandmother's name. We can then look for a marriage for your grandpa. Or if no marriage then a relationship that leads to one of your parents.

Would you have your mother's or father's birth certificates (depending on which side of the family this grandpa leads to.)

This is the 1881 Census information. If it is them it means that this William Jr was born around 1874. Could be the father of your grandpa. Or else he married very late in life. There are no ages on the birth certificate are there???

Yes have his birth certificate, and thats where I got the parents name but have not found anything else on them.
I know the mothers name is Sarah Ball and father is William Turner, other then that that is all I know.

Do you have any information about his mother Sarah Ball? Does the birth certificate give Sarah's middle name?

Births Dec 1892 (>99%)

Ball Elizabeth Sarah St. Saviour 1d 169
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the 1911 census there is an Arthur George William TURNER, single male, 37 years old, (dob 1874) born in Rochdale Lancashire. He is living with his sister Sarah Ellen Turner, who is single, aged 41, born in Yorks Clifford.

Does any of that make sense or match anything you know. Only similarity there is the place name and one of the given names.

Could it be William Turner Junior's grandfather??

I do not know much about my grandfathers family. He was born in Rochdale, Lancashire march 16 1920. His parents were named William Turner and Sarah ball, according to grandpa's birth certificate they were married. He was also named William, as far as we know (as he would not speak of his family at all) he ran away from home when in his early teens. He had no contact that we know of since, so hense I do not have any other information. His dad William was something to do with the mills, his family owned one we think. They were scottish, the Turners, the Balls were irish. Other then what I tell you I have know idea what is what, I wish I did.
