'Mrs Baker and Keith Xmas 1942

In my grandparents photo album there is the most beautiful portrait of 'Mrs Baker' labeled Xmas 1942... and next to it a chubby baby portrait of Keith Baker (I guess born around 1941 presumably her son). This family will probably have been from Leicester, where my grandparents lived (or possibly Market Harborough).

I would love to know if anyone has them in their tree,. The portrait of Mrs Baker is of her in an elaborate gown with headdress and flowers ?was she a maid of honor for someone.

Any ideas, or is this a needle in a haystack thing? (the only other thing I can think of, as I have no Bakers in my tree is that she was maybe a teacher who was a colleague of my grandma).

there was one possible..... so I have mailed that person today. I am not sure at all how we would know if it is the same Keith Baker, unless she too had photos we could compare.

Unfortunately you can't be sure the photos were taken at the same time - ?

There are Keith Baker births in Leicestershire around the time (Grimsby Q2 1940, Blaby Q3 1940, Cleethorpes Q1 1941 so possibly late 1940). There were two births in 1941 (Q4, Stoke, Q4, Barrow in Furness). There are also 1942 births, e.g. 2 in Q2 in Lancashire. And then of course the Keiths with middle initials, several in 1941, Bath, Watford, Ashton, and early 1942 ...

How old did the baby look? If it was taken Christmas 1942, that would be your best guide for looking for a birth.
