Hi, thanks for that info..I think I'm coming up to a brick wall. I know that Lementina married in 1837 in Rutland, it said she was living in Barrowden in Leicestershire. Census records for her state slightly different birth places, Bruntingthorpe, Peatling about 1820ish. Checked parish records for these places and nothing has turned up as yet.
She was definitely Lementina though not Clementina, I think someone has added that without really checking it first.
Any info anyone comes across would be great, sometimes clues might get thrown up.

Hi all, I am searching for a gypsy ancestor Lementina Smith. She married Jonathan Popple in 1837. I have all info about her from 1837 onwards from census etc.
I am trying to find more of her gypsy roots.
I know from her marriage cert her father was Sam Smith and there were two witnesses, Nathaniel and Harriett Smith, which I am guessing might be her brother and sister in law??
She was born in Leicestershire, according to census and cert Bruntlingthorpe, Peatling area in about 1820. Is anyone else searching Smiths from Leics who has come accross any of these people??
