hello im looking for an arthur thomas roberts for my friend,ive asked for help before but now ive got his marriage certifacate from when he married eva crossfield in 1947 so you can hopefully try and help me help my friend gather her roots and know if her dad is alive or dead mary my freind said the last time she heard from her dad was in a letter from himwhen he was in pentonville prison in 1976,anyway on the the wedding certificate it says hes 28 years of age they married 25 october 1947 he was in the royal attlilary his address was 15 havelock street (darfield) and his father william christmas (i swaer thats what it looks like ) roberts was a bricklayer and at the time of marriege he was deceased anyone want the challenge poor old mary does not know who her relatives are and was all she knew was her dad was in and out of prison and a londoner who was brought up in a convent (but if his dad was deceased they may explain why) because he said he was one of 7 or 8 children.Sheal thinks his birthday was 1st october 1919 but she not possative now ive got the fathers name it might help so letsse what youuys have got ,thank you |

thank you julie i got that info before when i put out a search it probly is him when i looked in thecencus i couldnt find this william c roberts either to try and see what his wife or family was |

you know whats its the same for me as well u guys a puzzle i dont think will ever be solved she ant got enough info but derecks just found arthurs father and its got to be him for shore i dont think there are gonna be many people with that middle name there cant be i tought some one was taking the micky to be honest now i might be able to seewho he married to get the mother |

also i checked te arthur t roberts mothers maiden name wiggins and she didnt marry an william c roberts and i checked the arthur t roberts mothers maiden name pask and she was cissie pask and she married albert roberts so its not them 2 |

mary said her dad was a londoner but it doesnt mean his parents couldnt of been welsh and moved to london maybe? i dont know i justthink how many people would call there kid christmas i said as well his dadwas a bricklayer |

1901 not complete online for county either otherwise you could find william Christmas roberts from the census and his parents etc if she wants to know. |

all of arthurs 7 or 8 brothers or sister where supposedly brought up by the nuns so it may be possable mum and dad where both in te service whats gets on my nerves is when people have a middle name but it only shows up the first name thats what normally makes people unique so to speak like i say how many william christmas roberts can they be |

hi again i found a william christmas roberts born mar 1867 in st marylebone london this maybe arthur thomas dad anyone fancy doing a check for me to see if hes on he cencus or if anyonecan find out who he married thanks i might get one step closer |

also this may help to find the right arthur thomas roberts and find out who his mum is arthur had a brother called frank andon the wedding certifacate one of the witness was f j robets so thats more than likely to be him if he is found and one of te mothers maiden names match with te ones registered for arthur thomas roberts we can probly find out who she is,so lets see what your magic fingers can do |
