What is George juniors occupation? What did he name his children?

Heather

Heather Report 27 May 2009 21:54

George probably gave the false address because it saved on two lots of banns. You often find the bride and groom giving the same address and people think they were living together :0 not so, just pure economics.

As Dorcas and Naomi are both from Devon, the connection must lay with them.

Son, George William Parker born abt 1868/9same location?
No, I do not have his birth cert, and can not tie down his possitive birth date

Heather

Heather Report 27 May 2009 20:03

And when was his son born? How did you get a birth year for George if you dont have any other info?

You need to find the son on a census - try the 1881 which is free to view on familysearch.org. Hopefully dad is still alive then and the 1881 gives occupation clearly on the transcription. You then have a narrow margin of 8 years in which dad died. Use freebmd and deaths for George Parkers in the area. At that date age at death is shown. Hopefully you can then tie him down.

Have you not found George juniors birth cert for mum and dads full names?

Peter

Peter Report 27 May 2009 20:03

All that i know is that George died before his son's (George William Parker) marriage of 13 Nov 1889.
George Parker
Born abt 1847 Bath /Bristol area.
Place of Death unknown
Wife unknown

Be very interested if anyone has any ideas, because i'm stuck?
