Thank you SGirl - thats great, I found the entry - will buy some credits and check it out.

Ann my grandmother's name was Ada Ellen Wright. She was born in New Leake in 1885. By the time the postcard was sent, she had had two children (Francis Edward b1906 and Eveline b1913) but was still unmarried.

I have not been able to successfully find her on the 1901 census either so far.

We have a postcard sent to my great grandmother in 1914. its addressed to simmon house, old leake, nr boston. How can I find out who lived here in 1911? I cant seem to make the census search work as the address wont work in the search fields!!

Please help!!
