I am looking for any info/connections to my GGGrandfather Henry Walker. He was born approx 1821 in Leicester/Leicestershire and joined the 33rd Duke of Wellington's Own Regiment. From 1841 census he was stationed at Glasgow and by 1849 when he married Mary Jamieson he was located at Berwick on Tweed in Northumberland. From birth cert of one of his sons in 1852 he was living at the Barracks in Salford, Lancashire. He died aged 55 in 1876 at Chorlton on Medlock, Manchester. He had 5 sons.... Robert (1850), Eneas Jameson (1852-1859), Henry (1855-1908), Jamieson (1865-1944 - my G.Grandfather). Samuel (1868). I am looking for any info regarding his parents - all I know is that his father was called Robert. Or any decendants/connection to any of the above names. I have located the marriages of Robert, Henry and Samuel and their children but the info seems to dry up after 1911. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks |
