I'm trying to find out more about an ALICE MARGARETTA HALL born about 1869 in Shoreditch, Middlesex.

I'm very keen to find out more information about her parents in particular. I have a possible lead from the 1911 census that suggests that her mother is called MARY and was born in 1839 in Middlesex somewhere but thats all I have.

Here is more information on ALICE:
She was Married to HENRY STEPHEN HOLDING (Born about 1868 in Whetstone) on 8th Oct 1901.
They had 2 children: Alice Mary Elizabeth Holding (Born 1887, Middlesex) & Daisy Holding (Born 1897, Tottenham, Middlesex).

Thanks for any help!

Sam Carver.

I've found that particular birth index too but due to the difference in the middle name I'm reluctant to spend any money to get that birth certificate (It's a last resort at the moment).

I do have the marriage certificate.

Both the marriage certificate and her husbands WWI pension record state her middle name as being Margaretta. Her husbands death certificate also has her initials as A. M. Holding.

The witnesses on the marriage certificate appear to be either friends or extended family (Whom don't appear in my tree* anywhere).

As for the father on the marriage certificate I'm not convinced that the name is correct.
Her stated fathers name: "Stephen Henry Hall (Deceased)"
Husbands stated fathers name: "Henry Stephen Holding (Deceased)"

I know from other sources that her husbands father was in fact called Henry GEORGE Holding, so that puts the credibility of her dads name into dispute.

I've also been unable in my searches to find a Stephen Hall with a wife called Mary and a daughter named Alice with all the correct birth and location info.

I hope all the above makes sense!?

Any tips!?

*I have a tree set up on Ancestry, but not one on here.
