Does anyone out there know anything at all about mary ann pinkney, who married joshua stoker in 1887?I cannot find her family in any census records.

Do you have her marriage cert for her age, her father's name and occupation?

Do you have them in 1891/1901 or are you looking pre-marriage?

I found their marriage in 1887, but I know nothing of her previous to that. All other family have been miners , so her father probably was too.

sorry, also couln't find them her in 1891 /1901.found them in1911 census and they had been married for 26 yrs

she was born in pittington , durham , and was 53 1n 1911. they had 2 daughters elizabeth ann and margaret and son james.

I'd advise getting the marriage cert for this one as her age at marriage (about 30 ??)might indicate that she was married before.
Or-do you have one of the children's birth certs giving PINKNEY as her maiden name?
