Trying to trace any relatives of John Mitchell b.1912 @ Blackwood Lanarkshire. He married and moved to Coventry England .shortly after the end of WW 2.

Researching:
Mitchell / Whitefield/ Turley/ Hillan.

There are several John Mitchells born in Lancashire in 1912, but I checked the details for each registry district and none seems to have Blackwood in it.

Can you confirm where you got the birth details? Have you found the record at FreeBMD?

It will give his mother's surname, if he was born after mid-1911. It's then possible to search for other births with those two surnames, to find any siblings born after that time. If you know his parents' names, their marriage could also be found, and any children they had before 1911 could be seen in the 1911 census.

Whatever other info you do have, please provide it and it may be possible to find some info about relations.

Just to clarify - you know of his marriage. You know to whom, and who his children were? What relations are you looking for - descendants of his parents, grandparents, etc., or direct descendants of his own?

If so:


Marriages Sep 1902
Ellis Agnes Haslingden 8e 189
? Foote Ethel Haslingden 8e 189
? Mitchell William Haslingden 8e 189
Morris William Haslingden 8e 189



And more births in that district after 1911.

The 1911 census would show any children born before 1911.
