You could try having a look at the Wolverhampton archives website ( i just google it as its an odd web address)

It has some very basic details from parish records but it also gives you information on the various parishes covered by Wolverhampton (Bilston, Ettingshall etc)

Catchem sounds as though it might be a possibility. Some of the family were born in Ettingshall and some in Sedgeley.
It is only on 1911 census that I have come across my great grandfather in Ketchum/catchem. I will certainly follow this up.
Are you able to tell me how the parish of St Matthew lies within this area as this is where the marriages & baptisms took place. Thank you so much.

maybe this is where you mean -

'Catchem's Corner and Ettingshall Lane, near the canal, are two hamlets, partly in Bilston and partly in Wolverhampton townships, but Ettingshall church, and most of the village, are in Sedgley parish'

My g grandfather was born in Ketchum or Hetchum, near Bilston Wolverhampton around 1878. (1911 census) I would love to obtain more info. Can anyone tell me about the area?
