Hello I'm trying to find John herbert who came to N.Z. from England. Dont know the part. He married Joye Maime Frances Barton in 1938. I have nothing about him or his family . I have been searching for sometime but to no avail. He lived in Auckland, was an engineer of somekind and ran a business making vending machines. Our family has little about their unknown grandfather and would love to know.

Do you have the marriage cert? If not you ned to start there.... this will give his age etc.

He has a fairly common name, and without knowing whether he went directly to NZ or he went via Aus it would be very difficult to pin down.

As you have some data on the marriage i would start there....

I will however take a look for you as i have world subs on Ancestry...
