Dear Wilfred

Do you have the birth certificate for your relative?
It will state the area, etc.

He could have stayed at a nearby care home.

The local archive and history centre could probably tell you what care homes were around during that time period.

my uncle brian we have found out today was put into foster care. he can remember going to one care home that had a big archway you had to walk under. he remembers my nan visiting him at christmas with sweets. he did not know any of his family and once he found out his mom has passed my aunt had had no contact. my reason for writing on here is to see if anybody has any suggestions on how to find care homes i think rough dates would be 19333-1936. brian we are told was married and we think lived in wolverhampton! any thoughts thanks teresa. we think the care homes maybe in birmingham.
